RA5100 is a versatile headset for use in both in-vehicle and on-foot missions. Its digital technology ensures hearing protection of 30 dB SNR with Active Noise Reduction (ANR), excellent speech intelligibility, and situational awareness. The RA5100 is software-upgradable and has built-in power for stand-alone operation or can be externally powered for reduced weight.

RA5100 is built on a fully digital architecture, using advanced digital signal processing (DSP). New features can be added via software upgrades, extending service life and lowering total cost of ownership.
HIGH PERFORMANCE MICROPHONE
The plug-in, noise-cancelling and flexible boom microphone is waterproof and anti-magnetic for clear comms and enhanced reliability. The boom mic is left and right interchangeable.
EASY TO USE
Ergonomic control buttons selects ANR or situational awareness mode. Volume control buttons to adjust communication and situational awareness volume levels.
DETACHABLE SMART DOWNLEADS
Connects to intercoms, smart phones, tablets, computers and in-service equipment, featuring quick-release connector.

The RA5100 tactical communication headset meets the complex needs of users who operate in mixed role missions, which may involve operating inside and around noisy vehicles, and then transitioning to a dismounted role. The headset features include advanced Digital Active Noise Reduction (ANR) to combat continuous vehicle noise, and clear situational awareness for use when on foot.

The headset is designed for both in-vehicle and on-foot scenarios making it ideal for dismounted soldiers who get transported in noisy vehicles. Built-in power allows for stand-alone operation, and it can also be externally powered for reduced weight. The boom microphone is left and right interchangeable.

Hearing protection for all scenarios
Digital Active Noise Reduction (ANR) provides attenuation levels of 30 dB SNR for constant noise and dual layer hearing protection enables 41 dB SNR for even higher noise environments. When operating in hear-through mode the audio is limited to protect against exposure to unexpected loud noises and impulse noises.

Digital and connected
The headset has been designed for direct digital communication with industry-leading devices. Detachable smart downleads provide connectivity to intercoms, smart phones, tablets, computers and in-service equipment. Remote, software-enabled performance upgrades are available without replacing existing equipment.

Rugged
The robust mechanical design and construction withstands tough electromagnetic environments, shock, and vibration. It is qualified to MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461F and submersible down to 1 meter.
Additional information
While the RA5100 headset can be used stand-alone, it’s quick to configure it as an advanced communication headset by attaching complementary downleads or PTT accessories. The ruggedised RA72 dual PTT interfaces to a wide selection of radio and intercom systems and allows remote control of the headset.
The downlead interface cable can be detached from the headset ear-shell, allowing other types of downleads to be easily attached, with a range of interface cables available.
Where the attached equipment can provide a source of power (4.5V to 9.5V DC) the headset can operate from this supply; otherwise, the headset is fully functional from an internal AA battery.
The headset has been independently fully qualified to MIL-STD-810G for harsh environments including temperature extremes, shock, bump, impact, vibration, dust, sand, humidity, mist, salt fog, driving rain, immersion, solar, altitude, fungal and fluid contamination. Electromagnetic certification to MIL-STD-461F at 50V/m field strength.
